Engage Washington is an AmeriCorps program supporting individuals serving in partnership with Washington Campus Coalition member campuses to meet critical community needs.

Awards
The Student Civic Leadership Awards program recognizes outstanding student leaders and changemakers at Washington Campus Coalition member campuses. Each year, students from campuses are selected for their exceptional dedication and service and celebrated at an awards ceremony in partnership with statewide higher education organizations and the Office of the Governor.

Dialogue Initiative
October 19th, 2026
Kicking off at our Network meeting on October 19, the Dialogue Initiative will convene a statewide Community of Practice (CoP) for practitioners engaged in fostering the skills of dialogue among students, faculty, staff and community members. In its first year, the CoP will focus on creating a space to share what works well and what is challenging in teaching and practicing the skills of dialogue. In its second year, the CoP will pivot to sharing replicable models and toolkits for dialogue across the state, region and nation.

Lunch and Learn Webinars
Bring your lunch and join a virtual community to learn best practices in community and civic engagement. Quarterly Lunch and Learn opportunities will kick off in the Autumn of 2026 with a Lunch and Learn webinar focused on Place-Based Engagement.
When: October 28 from 12 pm-1 pm
Where: Zoom platform, link will be sent to registrants upon registration
What: Learn more about Place Based Engagement from the editors of "Leading Place-Based Community Engagement Initiatives in Higher Education: Promising Practices and Lessons Learned." Kent Koth, founding Executive Director of the Sundborg Center for Community Engagement at Seattle University, and Erica Yamamura, Executive Director of LEAD California, will share their learnings about the power and promise of place-based engagement, followed by dialogue with the practitioners and authors of the chapter on Seattle University's Neighborhood Initiative.
